Sobio, a web-based social biography and collaboration application was built on legacy architecture, requiring constant updates and maintenance to keep up with growing use and demands. The application and layout also did not have a very user-friendly interface and left much to be desired from a user experience standpoint of the application persona. In addition, originally built on a legacy system lacking the necessary resources or scalability, the performance of the app continued to decrease as the number of app users and data uploaded continued to grow.
The app required a complete revamp of the front-end and back-end architecture to enhance the longevity and performance of the app.
Along with transforming and migrating the webapplication to a more robust and scalable architecture, the client wanted to develop a native mobile application to reach out to a wider audience market. The client was looking for a partner with a full-cycle app development experience to strategize, upgrade, design, develop, and modernize the application.
