Apple Pay Training Programs Prepare for Launch
Apple is preparing for Apple Pay to launch on October 20th. They’re requiring training programs for their employees and retailers. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Apple Pay, it’s a digital payment service that will allow users to securely store their credit cards. This allows users to pay for goods and services without having to reach for their wallet.
According 9to5mac, they’ve provided details on Apple Pay from the training material. Apple Pay can be set up through the Passbook App or in a new settings tab “Passbook & Apple Pay” which will be added with the release. Supposedly, users will be able to store up to 8 credit cards.
There’s also other great benefits to this new feature, which ties into the credit card companies and banks that allow them to access the same features they could on their institutions sites. Features such as contacting their bank, seeing recent transactions, etc. Another neat feature is the credit cards will automatically update if there’s a new expiration date or credit card number.
Stay tuned for Apple Pay’s event taking place Today, October 16th.
